Multiples observed in our own closed deals, the pace of the process and demand by sector. Every figure states what it measures, on what sample and for what period; anything short of 5 observations is not published.
Median EBITDA multiple of the deals closed through GoDeal in each sector. Only those the firm authorised for aggregation are included, from real mandates and financial years already closed, and a sector is published only with 5 or more reported multiples. Sectors that do not appear have no sample of their own yet: for those, the calculator uses GoDeal’s reference coefficient, which is not a market figure.
We publish a sector’s multiple once it has at least 5 closed deals with a reported multiple, and only from financial years already finished. Until then, GoDeal’s indicative valuation uses its reference coefficient, which is our own estimate for the sector and not a market figure: the calculator says so in its result.
We need at least 5 mandates with a first NDA before publishing the median.
Below 5 requests in the window we do not publish the figure.
It is published on the same sample as the requests.
Sectors with the most distinct investors among the marketplace’s saved searches. People are counted, not searches: several searches by the same investor are a single thesis.
No sector yet reaches 5 distinct investors with a saved search. Publishing it with fewer would turn the aggregate into a single investor’s profile.
Mandates published and NDA requests per quarter, over real mandates. Only quarters already finished: the one in progress would grow every day and would read as a trend without being one. It does not include closings, which are published by financial year on /operaciones.
The latest completed quarter as a PDF: activity for the period, multiples by sector, pace of the process and trend, with the methodology note for every figure. Generated on the server; a GoDeal account is required. The PDF is generated in Spanish.
All figures are aggregates. A data point with fewer than 5 observations is not published — neither the value nor the size of its sample — so that it cannot be attributed to a mandate, a firm or a counterparty. Demonstration listings are excluded.
The figures describe what happens in GoDeal’s marketplace. They are not an estimate of the Iberian M&A market, nor a projection. They are updated hourly.
